Jerry-C PRO Clip On Thermal Imager (COTI)

InfiRay RENV-C, widely recognized in the market as Chinese version of AN PAS29, is an advanced Clip-On Thermal Imager (COTI) designed as a direct upgrade to the original Jerry C. This device is engineered for seamless integration with low-light night vision systems, utilizing a front-mounted thermal fusion architecture. By leveraging long-wave infrared imaging technology and precision optical collimation, it projects a thermal image directly through the night vision objective lens onto the photocathode of the image intensifier tube (IIT). This creates a true optical overlay, effectively merging thermal signatures with ambient light imagery to produce a composite view.
The primary function of this fusion is to provide a critical complementary capability to traditional night vision. While low-light devices rely on amplifying existing ambient light, they often fail to distinguish targets hidden within visual obstructions such as dense foliage or total darkness. The Jerry C Pro overcomes this limitation by detecting the infrared heat radiated by objects, significantly enhancing target identification and situational awareness. Furthermore, the device is equipped with a suite of professional operational features, including versatile display modes (High-Brightness, Edge-Enhancement, and Breathing mode), intelligent power management, an integrated electronic compass, and remote control functionality via Bluetooth, ensuring it meets the rigorous demands of field use.

Critical Safety Notice

Due to the inherent working principle of front-mounted thermal fusion, the thermal image is projected directly onto the photocathode of the image intensifier tube (IIT). Unlike rear-mounted fusion which bypasses the IIT, this method inevitably accelerates IIT aging and increases the risk of burn-in. While this degradation can be mitigated by reducing brightness or utilizing the breathing mode, tube burn-in remains a high-probability event over time. Therefore, users possessing high-value, fragile image intensifier tubes—such as L3 filmless, Elbit thin-film, 4G/ECHO, or NVT7 tubes—are strongly advised to carefully consider this risk before purchasing this product.
